VILLAGE HOLIDAYS CONDITIONS OF HIRE
RENT
A non-refundable deposit of £200 per week is payable on
booking and the balance payable not less than 8 weeks before the arrival date. We do not issue reminders for the balance payment. Please make your cheque payable to:- "VILLAGE HOLIDAYS" and post to
VILLAGE HOLIDAYS, THE WILLIAM BOOKER YARD,THE STREET, WALBERTON, ARUNDEL, WEST
SUSSEX, BN18 0PF or phone us with your credit/debit card details.
CANCELLATIONS
THE HIRER BECOMES LIABLE TO THE PROPRIETOR FOR ALL MONIES DUE IN RESPECT OF LETTING ON RECEIPT OF CONFIRMATION FROM THE PROPRIETOR THAT THE BOOKING HAS BEEN ACCEPTED. If you cancel the booking AT ANY TIME we will make every effort to re-let the cottage however we reserve our rights to the balance of the tariff if re-letting cannot be arranged. WE STRONGLY ADVISE YOU TO TAKE OUT HOLIDAY INSURANCE TO COVER
THIS EVENT.
DAMAGES & BREAKAGES
The hirer is fully responsible (to
the value of a new replacement where appropriate) for any damage to the holiday
home or any damage to or loss of any of its contents.
CLEANING
Guests are expected to leave their cottage clean and tidy when vacating. You must report and pay for any damage or breakages during your stay.
ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE
Entry to the holiday home will be at
4.00 p.m. on the arrival date and departure must be no later than 10.00 a.m. on
the final day of the letting period. Please do not arrive early as we need time to prepare your cottage.
NUMBER OF GUESTS and PRICING
The cottages are priced for
accomodating up to a maximum of 5 people in South Lodge and 8 in Lion House and 7 in Park End. Travel cots for small babies (not suitable for toddlers)are available free of charge.
Except with the prior written consent of the proprietor, no
persons other than those named overleaf may occupy the holiday home. The
proprietors reserve the right to terminate the letting forthwith in the event of
breach of this condition.
USE OF PLAY EQUIPMENT
The hirer
shall ensure that the climbing frames and play equipment are used ONLY for the
purpose of properly supervised young childrens play and that adults/teenagers
never climb on the equipment. The hirer acknowledges that the proprietor accepts
no liability whatsoever for any damage or personal injury sustained in
connection with the use of the play equipment.
PERSONAL BELONGINGS
All property of the hirer is
the responsibility of the hirer and the proprietor accepts no responsibility
whatsoever in the case of damage to or loss of such property. You are advised to take out your own insurance.
PETS
The hirer may bring up to 2 dogs by prior arrangement and on payment of the current charge to the
proprietor. The hirer is solely responsible for such animals. Any damage or
additional cleaning needed as a result of your dog(s) will be recoverable by
the proprietor. No other pets are permitted. No pets must not be allowed on the furniture at any time.
SMOKING
For the enjoyment of the cottages by all our visitors we operate a NO SMOKING POLICY inside all our cottages.
PURPOSE OF LETTING
The hirer acknowledges that this agreement
is made on the basis that the holiday home is to be occupied by the hirer for a
holiday (as referred to in the Housing Act 1988, Schedule 1, Paragraph 9) and
the hirer further acknowledges that the tenancy granted by this agreement is not
an assured tenancy and that no statutory tenancy will arise on the termination
of the letting period. We reserve the right of access to our property at all reasonable times.
